REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

RNs provides direct quality care to patients. All RNs follows guidelines stated in the College of Nurses standard, RN and RPN Practice. RNs (registered nurses) are authorized responsible individuals who provide support to patients at various stages of their care. RNs assess the patient's needs, underlying disease and comorbidities. The work of the RN is subject to complex and orderly plans. RNs are authorized to advise on disease prevention and lifestyle changes to promote health. In addition to working directly with patients and assigned families, they help develop and implement nursing care plans and they work in specialized care areas.
Qualifications Required:
• Current certificate of competence as Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
• Must demonstrate high awareness in their field • Current basic cardiac life support certification (BCLS) required & ACLS for advanced care area
• Demonstrate self-discipline, responsibility, and know how to make decisions independently in difficult and controversial situations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides patient and family-focused care within the RN scope of practice

• Practices collaboratively with healthcare team members to provide quality care to patients with complex health needs.

• Practices cooperatively with other members of the interprofessional health care team.

• Provides consultation and/or clinical support to colleagues as needed.

• Develops and implements Individualized care plan related to patient diagnosis.

• Develops and implement specialized plan of care and, if necessary, adjusts it.

• Edits the Individualized care plan for the patient and evaluates its effectiveness at all stages.

• Contributes to the assessment and documentation of each patient's health status on an ongoing basis.

• Treats all patients with respect and dignity

• Provides clear, concise, and accurate documentation.

• Excellent physical assessment skills

• Demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills

• Has good managerial skills that junior colleagues can rely on; can organize work and keep track of its completion time

•Can work and develop in complex environments and situations; seeks to take on the role of leaders and is not afraid of responsibility

• Has developed communication skills with different people

• Demonstrates excellent clinical skills

• Adheres to facility protocols and policies

• Ensures all aspects of infection prevention are followed
